19 Full Time SY2017-18 Teaching Jobs Still Seeking NJ Teachers

If you’ve been stressing about where you’re going to work come this fall, this list of open NJ teaching jobs will be useful to you. Though the summer may be coming to a close, it’s still not too late to secure a full time teaching job. Across New Jersey, public and charter schools alike are advertising full time teaching openings for the upcoming 2017-18 school year.

We’ve compiled a list of roles that NJ that alternate route candidates can apply to:

Open K-12 GenEd Teacher Positions

  1. Discovery Charter School is seeking a Middle School Science Teacher. Successful teaching experience, preferably in an urban upper elementary or middle school is desired. Demonstrated knowledge of MS science is required. Candidates in the process of working towards their New Jersey State Certification will be considered. Apply now!

  2. Watchung Hills Regional High School is seeking a Tenure, Full Time English Teacher. Appropriate NJ Certification Required; MA in English Preferred. High School Teaching Experience Preferred. Apply by August 31!

  3. Central School is seeking a Middle school History Teacher. Strong Background in Literacy Preferred. Appropriate NJ Certification Required. Apply now!

  4. North Plainfield High School is seeking a History Teacher. NJ Teacher of History Certification and NJ Teacher of Students with Disabilities Certification required.   Previous teaching experience preferred. Apply now!

  5. Barack Obama Green Charter High School is seeking a High School Science Teacher. Candidate should hold at minimum a Bachelor’s degree, valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate and Subject Area Endorsement or eligibility. Open ELL/ESL Teacher Positions

  1. International Academy of Trenton Charter School is seeking a ELL/ESL Teacher. Bachelor degree in a related subject matter and/or equivalent is necessary.   Candidate must have Certification. Communication, Leadership and team management skills are prefered. Apply by August 31!

  2. McKinley Elementary School is seeking an ESL Teacher: Grades K-8. Teacher of English as a Second Language certificate is required. Apply now!

  3. John F. Kennedy Elementary School is seeking a K-5 ESL Teacher. A teacher must be fully certified according to the requirements set forth by the Department of Education of the State of New Jersey. Previous experience preferred. Apply now!

  4. Community Charter School of Paterson is seeking a K-4 ESL Teacher. Valid New Jersey ESL Teaching Certificate (K-6, Elementary School with Subject Matter Specializations for grades 5-8 or Content. Required.  Bachelor’s degree required. Must have licenses or certifications, such as Teacher of Math, Teacher of Social Studies, etc.) Special education certification is a plus. Open Special Education Teacher Positions

  1. Brookfield Schools district is seeking an Elementary Special Education Teacher. The qualified candidate must possess either a Teacher of Students with Disabilities Certification or a Teacher of the Handicapped Certification plus an Elementary Teacher K-6 or K-8 Certification.   2. Leap Academy University Charter School is seeking a dual Elementary Special Education Teacher. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Must have NJ state teacher certification (New Jersey Standard Certificate, Certificate of Eligibility (CE) or Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS) or be eligible for reciprocity with an out-of-state certificate). The candidate should have experience working directly with special education population in an urban classroom setting knowledge of completing and utilizing the IEP Data Collection Toolkit.   4. First Children LLC is seeking a Middle/High School Special Education Teacher. Candidate should have Middle and High School special education experience, strong knowledge of vocational/life skills curriculum, minimum of 3 years teaching experience and some experience with a multiply-disabled population.   1. New Brunswick Board of Education is seeking a Vice Principal. Candidate must hold a Principal’s certification issued by NJ Department of Education. Apply by Sept 15!

  2. Paterson Public Schools is seeking a Vice Principal. New Jersey Principal Certificate Required. Must have five (5) years of effective teaching experience. Knowledge of NJSLS and Common Core Standard, content area curriculum learning and teaching evaluation tools preferred. Apply now!

  5. Hamilton Township School District is seeking a Director Of Secondary Education. Valid New Jersey Administrative Certificate for Principal required. Must have a Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
