Dr. De Lisi serves on the Senior Advisory Council for the Center for Effective School Practices (CESP). He has been a faculty member at the Rutgers University Graduate School of Education since 1976, and served as Dean of the school from 2003–2014. During 2006–2011, Dr. De Lisi served as a Principal Investigator for Rutgers University through the Mid-Atlantic Collaborative for Applied Research in Education, sponsored by the Institute of Education Sciences, United States Department of Education. He currently chairs the Working Group on Capacity, Quality, and Continuous Improvement for the Commission on Standards and Performance Reporting, Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation. Other national services include membership on the Advisory Board for the Carnegie Project on the Education Doctorate, service as Secretary for the Council of Academic Deans from Research Education Institutions, and membership on the Executive Committee of the Organization of Institutional Affiliates, American Educational Research Association. Dr. De Lisi’s teaching and research interests are in the field of developmental psychology, especially cognitive development and sex-role development. He has over 100 scholarly publications and conference presentations to his credit.
