CESP Research Presented at AERA 2015

CESP researchers Dr. Cynthia Blitz, Dessi Kirova, and Anton Shcherbakov presented two papers at the Annual AERA 2015 conference in Chicago, IL. The papers titled, Teaching to the Test: Impact of Evaluating Teachers through Student Growth Measures, and Predicting the Self-Efficacy of School Leaders: Trust Matters, offered insights from the work on the External Assessment of the New Jersey Pilot Teacher Evaluation, 2011-2013. The presentations highlighted recent and relevant issues in teacher evaluation research, and brought to light practical aspects of implementation of large-scale accountability policy in education. The presented work reflects CESP’s commitment to contributing to research-based knowledge in education and policy implementation, and using insights from research to advance practice.
