Members of the NJ-ELTA Team including, Kathleen Dunn-Priestly, M.Ed. (NJ-ELTA Lead), Monica Townsend, M.P.A. (Regional Training Coordinator – Central), Emily Haines, BSN RN (Health Specialist), Michele Barnea RN, M.S. Ed. (Early Childhood Consultant), and Michele Regan, M.A. (Early Childhood Disability Consultant) participated at the NJAEYC conference on October 16 and 17, 2015.  The NJ-ELTA Team greeted and discussed their professional development services with hundreds of participants at the conference which took place at the Meadowlands Hilton Hotel.

Many attendees stopped by the NJ-ELTA table to express their enthusiasm for the NJ-ELTA trainings that they have received over the past year.  The feedback they shared was outstanding, as they thanked the staff for some of the “best training they have ever attended”.

Highlights of the conference include presentations by the NJ-ELTA Team. Monica Townsend gave a presentation on the topic of Transformative Leadership and Passaic County Community College partner, Anita Kumar, presented on Early Literacy Family Outreach Projects in Action.  Kudos to Michele Barnea who played a central role in organizing the successful event!  In addition to her contributions to NJ-ELTA, Michelle serves as the NJAEYC Vice President for Professional Development.
