Classes are scheduled from 8:30 am - 1:00 pm. Participants are welcome to join an optional Brown Bag Working Session with the presenter from 1:00 - 3:00 pm at no additional charge.
Price: $125 for one day classes / $250 for two day classes

July 11 - RTI 2.0 Introduction to PK-12 Response Intervention

Location: College Avenue Student Center, Rutgers University New Brunswick

Introduction to PK-12 Response to Intervention. High-yield proven strategies will be explored to move beyond I&RS and become compliant with 2018 QSAC's RTI regulations.

July 18 - Google Apps for Administative Assistants

Location: Rutgers Continuing Education Center at Atrium

Crash course on all G-Suite apps to help administrative assistant streamline their workflow to the operations of their schools and districts. Google Docs, Sheets, Sites, Forms, Draw, Calendar, and Gmail will be covered in-depth.

July 19 - Streamline RTI with Google Apps

Location: Rutgers Continuing Education Center at Atrium

In-depth look at using Google Apps to make your RTI and I&IRS procedures fast and easy.

July 20-21 - Blending Project Based Learning with Google Apps B.Y.O.D.

Location: Rutgers Continuing Education Center at Atrium

Two-day crash course that combines an introduction to rigorous and relevant web-based project based learning, as well, as in-depth preparation for the Google Apps Level 1 and 2 certification exams. B.Y.O.D.

July 25 - Improve Your Cohort Graduation Rate and Lower Your Suspension Rate with RTI

Location: Rutgers Continuing Education Center at Atrium

This session will provide research-based and multi-tiered Response-to-Intervention (RtI) strategies to get at-risk high school students back on track and enhance your cohort graduation rate. High yield RtI strategies for ESL students, struggling readers, disaffected students, and students who fail Algebra 1 will be examined. There will be an in-depth analysis of RTI-driven Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS) to help schools institute disciplinary practices that focus on restorative justice. RTI models that leverage Google Apps for Education to streamline prescriptive interventions and I&RS referrals will also be explored.

August 2 - K-6 Standards Based Report Cards 2.0

Location: College Avenue Student Center, Rutgers University New Brunswick

Update your standards-based report cards to improve parent engagement, growth mindset of students, and provide a foundation for your schools RTI program. Examples best practices for implementation will be explored in this hands-on workshop.

August 8 - Everything You Need to Know About Makerspaces

Location: Rutgers Continuing Education Center at Atrium

A makerspace is a place where students can get hands-on and creative with maker technologies – to tinker, play and create, and in effect, realize their innovation quotient. The space allows access to tools, resources and humans to help drive innovation and entrepreneurship. Explore ways to help bring the Maker Culture into your classroom with GAFE.

August 15 - Get Your Curriculum 2018 QSAC Ready with Hybrid Web-Based PLCS

Location: Rutgers Continuing Education Center at Atrium

As educators, our time is limited. Utilizing Google Apps and Web 2.0 tools to organize Hybrid Professional Learning Communities that will combine online interaction with F2F.  Including these online platforms will increase collaboration amongst teachers and administrators to update curricula.

August 22 - 2nd Annual IT Hot Topics for the Non-Techie School Leader

Join us for the 2nd annual IT Hot Topics. We will discuss Virtual and Augmented reality, new legal issues, social media, branding, web-based formative assessment, and 1:1 implementation to keep you “talking- the-talk”.
