Tracey Severns, Ed.D.

Leadership and Learning Strategist

Dr. Tracey Severns is part of the Center for Effective School Practices (CESP) Educational Leadership Team of content experts providing educators with engaging and research based professional development. Dr. Severns has dedicated her career to the service of students, teachers and administrators since 1992.  She has served as a special education teacher, vice principal, principal, director of student performance, superintendent, adjunct professor, and Chief Academic Officer for the New Jersey Department of Education. She is an experienced presenter who has provided professional development on the Common Core State Standards, PARCC, instructional leadership, data analysis, special education and school improvement on the state and national levels.

Dr. Severns has a Baccalaureates degree in Psychology, a Masters degree in Teaching from Montclair State College, and a Doctorate in Educational Administration and Supervision from Seton Hall University.  She is certified in Elementary Education, Special Education and K-12 Administration.
