Cynthia L. Blitz & Fran Trees

In the video titled “Partnership and Progress: The Rutgers University Computer Science Teaching and Learning Collaboratory,” presented as part of the STEM for All Video Showcase: Learning from Research and Practice in 2020, members of the Rutgers Center for Effective School Practices describe the National Science Foundation-funded project they refer to as CS-TLC.

Produced during the project’s second year, the video highlights some of CS-TLC’s activities, including a five-day summer institute, researcher-practitioner partnership engagements, and professional development.
Watch the short video on the STEM for All Video Showcase website.

Rutgers CS-TLC is a researcher-practitioner partnership between school districts in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and Rutgers University’s Center for Effective School Practices and  Department of Computer Science. The collaboratory’s main objective is to broaden the participation of historically underrepresented student populations in computer science through rigorous and equitable practices.
