At Rutgers CESP, our strength lies within our people. In addition to a core team bringing decades of experience in research, evaluation, analytics, and project management, CESP has a rich network collaborators to bring the right expertise to every area of our work.

Dr. Cynthia L. Blitz is the Executive Director of Rutgers CESP and a Research Professor at the Graduate School of Education, where she works to facilitate the translation of data and research evidence into practice within and beyond educational research, practice, and policy. Dr. Blitz is committed to building the capacity of professionals within and beyond traditional domains of education to effectively meet the needs of local, national, and global learners and communities.

Dr. Blitz brings over 20 years of experience as a research scientist, program evaluator, and strategic partner across health and education fields. Her work has appeared in the International Journal of Law and Psychiatry, the American Journal of Public Health, and Education Sciences. Trained as an interdisciplinary researcher, she holds a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy and Practice and an M.A. in Applied Anthropology from American University.
