Diverse Teachers for Diverse Schools was a 19-month project supported by the New Jersey Department of Education to develop innovative strategies for recruiting and retaining a diverse teaching force. This included establishing a teaching mentoring and induction program in collaboration with a consortia of Passaic County schools. Although the project has ended, our work in diversifying the teaching force continues.
