What is NJTSS? A Family Reference Sheet

RESOURCE DESCRIPTION

This BRIDGE Family Reference Sheet explains how New Jersey schools use NJTSS to provide academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and health-related supports for students. It walks through the three tiers of intervention, the difference between universal screening and progress monitoring, and how NJTSS connects with special education (and where the two differ). A "Family Insights" section identifies the observations from home most useful to share with teachers or problem-solving teams, along with practical ways families can reinforce school-based supports.
